MICHELLE GERENCSER has been working in the field of complementary cancer nutrition with Nutritional Solutions since 2002. Michelle received her Master of Science in holistic nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health. With educational underpinnings in biochemical engineering, Michelle is intensely analytical and brings a unique point of view to our team. She sees each person’s case as a complex system of variables and is very skilled at orienting each client in their particular system in relation to the voluminous cancer nutrition research so they can see what of it applies to them.
Michelle is the practitioner in our office whom we most rely on to help our clients assess drug-supplement interactions. She is also our primary designer of nutrition protocols to complement treatment. Michelle’s specialty is nutrition and immune function. She does translational research in lymphoma nutrition. As a result, she is our resident expert on nutritional immunology.
Michelle’s technical expertise comes across softly through her compassionate and optimistic outlook. For in addition to seeing the chemicals and the genes and the systems at play, Michelle sees straight through to the seed of each person’s precious heart.
In her own words…
“I like to really get to know a person. I take them into my heart on a social and emotional level, but I also think of them on a biochemical level and a genetic level; I think about the conversation going on in their immune system. And I try to infuse all of that into our work together. Holistic nutrition really comes alive when you can overlay onto it the dynamics of cytokine interactions, genetic expression, and mechanisms of the disease process. Teaching people how to see their own oncometabolism in relation to the metabolic likings of their cancer and the effects of their treatment sets them up to take powerful, efficient action with nutrition.” |
